the man of the hour with new minmal techno bombs. following some collaborations with mark broom, mihalis now signed some amazing stuff on labels like trapez, traumvinyl, mikrowave, zenit and his very own materials imprint

new kanadas adam marshall delivers a stunning peak-hour track with obvious inspiration from old school detroit techno and classik chicago house. >kokane< begins as a tightly wound minimal house groove with precise, pounding percussion and heavily swung jack. after the 3:30 mark the track gives way glistening synth chords which shine through the darkness transporting the cut into carl craig-ish jazz territory. on the flip, montreals ernesto ferreyra mutek, cynosure brings a south american flavour to the remix and takes the dancefloor oddessy deep into the chilean canyons. a late night mixing tool for the djs. lastly, we find the outro called >moonlight chills< on the second cut of side b. ambient and lush, this one is for the late night detroit highways. mojo and the darkness along i75! a deep ending to a very personal journey.

lifting by name and very much by nature, this is high energy, bouncy house music that elates you for the duration. the rough, thudding base drums that are a feature of the track are smoothed over by elegant strings and soft keys. shena plays the euphoric songstress to perfection, while the brass and bassline led crescendo will leave even the most cynical of clubbers looking for a space on the dancefloor. marc grant calms things down a little for his remix, utilising casio esque keys, imaginative synths and poppin basslines, while letting shenas vocal speak for itself.

finally,the long awaited ep from jamanta crew! this ep has been in great demand since a side track jazz band featured on mark farinas ministry of sound sessions mix back in 2006. judging by thefeedback weve received so far, this could easily be jamanta crews biggest releases to date.

more deep chicago house magic from the label that started it all. veterans bernard badie and vocalist extraordinaire dajae teaming up on this three track gem, a bumping deep and moody floor filler with a typically catchy cajual vocal. train is the main cut on this one, featuring a tight tracky beat, some up and down bass and a nice array of warm keys, definitely in line with vintage mark grant/cajmere/glenn underground vibe. now is more of a stomping dub, with a hypnotic vocal cut up over a tough building funk house groove. another winner from the home of the windy city house sound.

some special white labels of the next von sudenfed single. showing mark e smiths softer side with his tender and wistful lyrics. this features an exclusive track in tribute to ronnie o sullivan and a kiiller pilooski remix. very limited.

the reload and global communications remixes of tracks originally released as mystic institute. some amazing productions by mark pritchard and tom middleton which sounds still as fresh and exciting as almost 15 years ago. especially the global communication >ob-selon minos < is such an amazing piece of music!! smooth melodies with incredibly beautiful sounds really seduce the listener to go thru this 15 minute journey... and even that seems like only 3 minutes when they are over.

originally released on the evolution sub label symbiotic. actually this is one of our personal favorites from the complete evolution/link/reload/global communications catalogue. one of the more overlooked masterpieces in the whole i.d.m. scene (i hate that name). but a masterpiece in techno history. mark pritchard took things further where the original innovators from detroit stopped. a perfect combination of beautiful and forward thinking music without forgetting about what brought all of us into this music.. the excitement for rhythms that make you move!
